RecRe & One Tree Planted

· by Phil Saunders

RecRe is excited to announce our new partnership with One Tree Planted. This reforestation non-profit has planted over 92 million trees in 80 countries since 2014. For every RecRe box that is deployed at a given location, RecRe will plant ten trees.

One Tree Planted plants tree in areas affected by deforestation.

We have found this partnership with One Tree Planted to be a great fit. Deep in the heart of our company lies the desire to allow organizations the ability to promote sustainability through public engagement. We care deeply about the planet and creating a business that is a better environmental steward. Sustainability is one of the core tenants of our business model, and while we make a tremendous impact by ensuring our processes are as clean as possible, it’s great to have another way to give back and help the environment.

The objectives of this new partnership include:

  • Supporting global reforestation efforts
  • Empowering consumers with sustainable actions
  • Raising awareness about the importance of ecosystem restoration

Planting trees is consistently identified as one of the best ways to combat the damaging effects of climate change. Trees help to clean the air we breathe, filter the water we drink, and provide habitat for over 80 percent of the world’s terrestrial biodiversity. Trees also provide lasting social impact by providing jobs to over 1.6 billion people, empowering women in underdeveloped nations, and supporting communities that are devastated by environmental damage.

The partnership is designed to be a simple way for our customers to give back and get involved in global reforestation. For every RecRe box that is delivered, we will work with One Tree Planted to plant ten trees. The trees are planted by local partner organizations and community volunteers in areas where deforestation has occurred.
