To us administrators, RecRe is the ideal student engagement tool. To students, it offers a chance for them to reflect on what they need to be successful in life. It’s not just a matter of excelling academically, but having access to and saving money on the tools to make [students] more successful in their time on campus.

Our students are so very busy. They’re immersed in lots of different projects, and they have very little time. Time is their most valuable asset, and RecRe will help them spend their time more strategically. Students will gain from the items we’ll put in the boxes, but the real value is the time RecRe can and will save students.

If every parent that’s coming to Auburn knows that their kid has access to a vacuum cleaner that they could rent [for free], we just saved each parent $120.

What made me such a fan of the company to begin with wasn’t just the product but the people behind it. . . . I can tell that they’re passionate and that they want to provide that human touch. I deal with so many vendors that are sell, sell, sell, and then when you’re done they forget about you. Griffin was like, ‘I want to come over there and shake your hand. I want to make sure we do this face-to-face,’ and I thought that was a really amazing touch point.

RecRe has been incredibly beneficial in building a sense of community in our residence halls since our campus began utilizing its service. Several Resident Assistants on staff have rented ping pong paddles and pool sets to host tournaments with their residents and help them connect with others in their halls. Whether it is a couple of friends wanting to play ping pong or a larger group renting Spikeball for tailgates, RecRe has allowed our residents to further their college experience.

RecRe has streamlined the process of accessing equipment, promoting increased engagement and collaboration among students. Our campus is committed to being responsive and agile to students’ needs, and RecRe has played a key role in this effort. With its user-friendly platform, we can easily add or remove products based on real-time user feedback and usage data.
