Designed to work at 2am the way it works at 2pm.

Every program brief calls for activation. Every post-occupancy review measures whether the space delivered. The gap is almost always operational. A 24-hour lounge, an outdoor plaza, a residence hall common space, a maker space, none of it programs itself when staff leave for the night. Equipment lending fails without chain of custody. Inventory walks. Liability questions block the program before it starts.

RecRe closes that gap with a piece of furniture. It handles chain of custody, authenticates users through campus SSO, and operates without staff. Specify it where you need a space to keep working after hours.

What RecRe Does For Campus Space

Activation without staffing

Self-serve checkout means the equipment program runs whenever the building is open. No student worker schedule to negotiate. No service desk to staff. The space stays useful through the night, the weekend, and the academic break.

Chain of custody as a design principle

Every transaction is authenticated and logged against campus credentials. Equipment returns to a known state. Inventory does not walk. The lending program your client wants to run becomes operationally durable, which is the difference between a feature that survives the first semester and one that does not.

Deployable as FF&E

RecRe ships in four standard configurations with documented dimensions, electrical and data requirements, finish options, and ADA compliance. Custom panel branding is available for institutional identity.

“RecRe has been a game changer for us. We have been able to shift staffing models, meeting more needs of students, faculty and staff while providing greater autonomy for patrons to check out equipment when they need it.”

FAQ for Project Leaders

RecRe units operate on standard 120V power and require a hardwired ethernet drop or campus wifi access.

Yes. Panel finishes are configurable and we offer custom branding decals on the box exterior for institutional identity, donor recognition, or wayfinding integration.

Minimally. The unit handles authentication, transaction logging, and chain of custody on its own. The campus client owns inventory decisions and a light-touch restocking workflow, typically handled by existing facilities or auxiliary staff in under an hour per week. There is no new staffing position required to run the program, which is usually the question the VP of Student Affairs or the facilities director will ask during programming.
