SDR Position Overview

RecRe is looking for a hungry, driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) who combines outbound hustle with tech fluency. In this role, you’ll use AI tools to build smarter sequences, sharpen messaging and generate a robust pipeline. You’ll serve as the engine behind RecRe’s growth on multiple fronts: breaking into new campuses and deepening our footprint with the 75+ partners we already serve. This role is perfect for someone who wants to build something real, learn fast, and grow into one of the best sales professionals in this space. If you’re looking for a quiet desk job with low expectations, keep scrolling. If you want to compete, create, and get paid to do it, keep reading.

This is a full-time, 40-hour per week role.

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Hunt for New Business: Build targeted prospect lists, craft personalized messaging, and open doors at campuses that don’t know RecRe yet through disciplined, high-volume cold calling and multi-channel outreach.
  • Grow What We Have: Partner with our Account Managers to identify expansion opportunities across our existing campus network.
  • Work Smarter with AI: You’ll be expected to utilize AI-powered workflows that make you faster, sharper, and more effective. Research, prospecting, copywriting, enrichment, automation, you name it.
  • Own Your CRM: Keep HubSpot clean, current, and a true reflection of where every deal stands. No exceptions.
  • Be the Eyes and Ears of the Market: You talk to more prospects than anyone on the team. Share what you’re hearing.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 1–3 years of sales, outbound prospecting, or business development experience (or the kind of track record that makes up for it)
  • Proven success in startup or SaaS environments, and/or selling into real estate or higher education markets with long sales cycles
  • Experience working in a Remote Environment
  • Genuine, working fluency with AI tools – Claude, Grok, ChatGPT, Gong, Perplexity or whatever you’ve wired into your workflow
  • Experience with HubSpot or a comparable CRM
  • Strong written communication skills – a lot of this job is writing, and it needs to be good
  • High-volume outreach experience with the judgment to make it feel human
  • Familiarity with higher education or campus environments is a plus
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and results-oriented
  • Comprehensive background check will be required
  • Have no criminal convictions that would disqualify you from working on a university campus based on partner policies

Who You Are:

  • You’re competitive. You track your numbers, you know when you’re behind, and it bothers you.
  • You’ve invited AI into how you work and you don’t need anyone to tell you to do it.
  • You write cold outreach that earns replies because you actually think about the person on the other end.
  • You’re highly coachable with a growth mindset – you actively seek feedback and apply it quickly to improve your performance.
  • You bring a positive, solutions-oriented attitude and take ownership of outcomes.
  • Analytical and resourceful, with initiative to tackle tough challenges.
  • A strong teammate who thrives in collaboration.
  • Passionate about your work and proud of the results you deliver
