The Meals That Power RecRe Deployments

Every RecRe deployment starts with the same checklist. Building logistics, timelines, network connectivity and app settings.

And then, without fail, we ask one more question:

“Where should we eat?”

We’ve included it on our official deployment survey, because it’s become one of the most important, and fun, parts of how we show up on campus. Long deployment days mean we’re usually hungry and looking for grub. But somewhere along the way, it became more than that.

Food became a small step into a campus community. It’s evolved into a way to say, we’re not just here to install boxes, we’re here to understand the place your students call home.

Campus Partners = Local Guides

During every pre-deployment call, our campus partners share their favorite spots near campus. Sometimes it’s a well-known staple. Sometimes it’s a hole-in-the-wall that doesn’t even show up on Google Maps.

Either way, those recommendations come with trust. And after more than 100 deployments across the country, we’ve realized something. We keep talking about a handful of the same meals.
