How Rowan University Enhances Student Life with RecRe at the Chamberlain Student Center
Rowan University recently celebrated the expansion of the Chamberlain Student Center, and at RecRe, we’re excited to support their mission of creating a dynamic campus community. Our self-service locker systems are helping students and staff access essential and recreational items quickly and easily.
Streamlined Access, Improved Experiences
Joe Lizza, Director of the Chamberlain Student Center and Campus Activities, partnered with RecRe with clear objectives: to ease the workload of busy staff and enhance student accessibility. The outcome has been impressive.
Here’s how RecRe is making an impact:
Main Entry Vestibule: Students have quick access to practical items like cordless vacuums, toolkits, bike pumps, portable chargers, and basketballs. Rowan’s team can efficiently update the inventory based on student preferences and real-time usage.
Game Room: This newly renovated area offers easy access to recreational equipment such as billiards, ping pong, foosball, shuffleboard, board games, and chargers. The self-service lockers allow student staff to spend more time engaging directly with visitors, fostering a welcoming atmosphere.

Popular Picks: Billiards gear and ping pong rentals are the most popular items in the game room, encouraging two-player activities
Practical Rentals: Service-oriented items like vacuum cleaners showcase access and importance for everyday needs.
Evening Activity: Over half (about 53%) of all rentals occur after 5 PM, enabling extended access and lively evening activity.
Meaningful Use: Students typically utilize borrowed items for nearly two hours, indicating meaningful engagement.
