RecRe Expands Partnership with University of Cincinnati: 14 Units Now Offering 24/7 Access to Essential Items Across Campus

· by Griffin Harrington

The RecRe team is thrilled to announce the expansion of our partnership with the University of Cincinnati, where 14 RecRe boxes have been deployed across campus, providing students with 24/7 access to lifestyle, academic, and recreational essentials—all free to students. This rollout marks a significant step forward in our mission to empower students by using technology to create more meaningful on-campus experiences.

These units are strategically placed throughout the campus, ensuring that students can easily access what they need, when they need it. From MacBook chargers and calculators to vacuum cleaners and calculators, RecRe boxes are stocked with everything to help students navigate campus life with ease.

“We are incredibly proud of our partnership with the University of Cincinnati. With 14 RecRe boxes, students now have the ability to check out hundreds of essential items all over campus. It’s about setting them up for success, whether it’s for academics or simply making day-to-day life more convenient.”

Residence Halls: Round-the-Clock Convenience

At RecRe, we understand that student life doesn’t adhere to a 9-to-5 schedule. That’s why our units are stocked with items students need, available whenever they want. The residence halls are equipped with a wide array of cleaning and lifestyle supplies—vacuums, cleaning supplies, and even board games for those much-needed study breaks. By making these resources available 24/7, students can access them even late at night, without needing additional staff assistance.

“I think the role of automation on campus is just going to continue to grow as we see more kiosks and things for students to get what they need when they need it, around campus and at our residential communities… I think RecRe lockers fall right into that, and we are excited to be on the forefront with them as we start to look at those additional automation opportunities.”

Tangeman University Center: Easy Access to Games and Academic Tools

In addition to the residence halls, we’ve placed RecRe boxes on two different levels of the Tangeman University Center (TUC), making it easier than ever for students to grab a charger between classes or pick up a board game to enjoy with friends during their downtime. The combination of recreational and academic resources available in TUC ensures that students have the tools they need in one convenient location.

“Our main priority is to be the center of campus where people want to come and hang out… We’ll continue offering and enhancing the services we provide to make it a place where students want to be.”

A Future of Campus Automation

At RecRe, we’re committed to helping campuses across the country streamline their operations while enhancing the student experience. The University of Cincinnati has taken a major step in that direction by investing in this automated solution. By enabling self-service access to these resources, the university can provide more, without adding additional staffing burdens.

RecRe is more than just a convenience — it’s a critical tool for student engagement. We’re looking forward to seeing how these 14 units will continue to make campus life better for the Bearcats.
